This is my own personal opinion, again if I am stepping on toes, then I apologise unreservedly. This is what I believe, and respect everyone else's beliefs.
In the Bible It says, that Jesus rose from the dead, therefore, although his body had been destroyed, his inner soul remained.
Also, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, which would indicate that Jesus returned his soul to his mortal frame.
These incidences show me there is an afterlife.
